Pjur Silicone Lube

Those of you who have read some of the other reviews will know that Mrs Dave and I are somewhat partial to mucking around in the shower. We don't do it that often as we get guilty about wasting water in the middle of the worst drought in recorded history but we always try to keep some silicone lube around just in case.

After using the Karmasutra lube we decided that we wanted something a bit thicker. Most of the silicone lubes are pretty runny and tend to drip (which is bad in the shower). We normally buy lube and stuff online but this time we popped into our local adult shop as we needed some quickly (we were going on a beach holiday and thought we'd take some along in case we could ditch the kids and fool around in the water... alas we couldn't). They had one we had never seen before called Pjur (apparently pronounced Pure).

Pjur comes in 4 varieties - regular (your normal runny stuff), Woman (low allergy, unscented etc), Gel (the thicker version) and Woman Gel (thicker, low allergy). We went with the Woman Gel. It works really well. It stays slippery under water and doesn't wash off. It's fairly thick so it doesn't go everywhere and stays where its put. Its certainly slippery. It comes in a 100ml bottle with a lid that seals well so it doesn't spill everywhere if it falls over. It wasn't too dear. All in all a good silicone lube.

The only downside (as with all silicone lubes) is the cleanup. Being thicker you REALLY need some soap and water to clean it up. Not really a problem in the shower but other places it could be an issue. We have never used it in bed but I suspect it would stain the sheets something terrible.
