Wet Stuff

As regular readers will no doubt remember, we are on a quest to find a replacement for Maximus, our favourite (and now unavailable here in Oz) lube for toys and anal play. After our enormous lube shopping spree we ended up with a cupboard full of different lubes and over the last few weeks we tried them one by one. We found some good ones but nothing that would do the job of Maximus. We looked in our lube cupboard this week to work out which one to test next and to our surprise there was only one left. This was it. Make or break time. One last chance to find our Maximus replacement (well.. OK... we could just go to the sex shop again and buy a bunch more stuff to try but where's the dramatic tension in that?).

What remained untested was a tube of Wet Stuff Plus. Put out by Gel Labs, this is, according to the blurb on the tube" a "proudly Australian made and Australian owned" lube. This was the cheapest lube we bought at the sex shop and since then we have actually seen it in large pump pack at the supermarket so it is very easily available (in Australia anyway). Wet Stuff comes in a bunch of different varieties - flavoured, warming, sensitive skin, thick, thin. All up there would be at least 10 varieties. The Plus is listed as thicker and "extra silky" so we picked that one as it seemed closer to what we wanted. So how did it perform? Ladies and gentlemen... we have a winner.

As usual, we tried it first for regular sex. We quickly discovered that a little goes a long way. A looooong way. A small dab on Mrs Dave's clit to get things started quickly spread and lubed her up from the top of her pubes to the top of her bum crack. This did make things a little messy and sticky but it lasted really well and was super slippery. The tube we bought tends to over dispense. A little squeeze tends to give you way more than you need. The pump packs would be much better. For regular sex we are giving this 6/10, docking a couple of points for going everywhere.

Solo was next. We both lubed up and went for it. Mrs Dave found it pretty good apart from its tendency to spread. I liked it as well. It is super slippery and lasted ages. It didn't feel as nice as some lubes. Some are really silky and smooth. This was more slimy than silky but certainly not unpleasant. 7/10 for wanking.

Toys is where this lube really started to excel. It is fairly thick so it stayed on the toy and lasted for a long time. Mrs Dave had a lovely session on her wooden dildo and the lube stayed slippery for the whole time. 8/10.

Anal was where we really felt we had a winner. We both prefer a really slippery, thick lube for anal and Wet Stuff is certainly thick and slippery. Mrs Dave took fingers and our Small Butty Vibe really comfortably. I had a try with my rippled plug and was really impressed with it as well. If you like the thick anal lube then this is a winner 8/10.

Overall we give this a 7. It will never be our favourite lube for sex but we will certainly be keeping some on hand for when we get the toys out or fancy some anal play. This is a really good lube for both of these. We have finally found our Maximus replacement. What's more it's Australian made, easily available and really cheap. What more could you want?
