I don't know why we do things like this. I really don't. We have already established that sequels are always worse than the original. "Threequels" are even worse still. We have even watched the sequel in question and found it to be awful. Why then did we feel compelled to put a copy of Candy Stripers 3 into the player? Yet, for some reason, the poor quality and scant resemblance to the original of Candy Stripers 2 was not enough to stop us from watching the next instalment.
As long timer readers will know, we really liked the original Candy Stripers. It was well acted, had a good story, great sets and costuming and the sex was great. It was classic, golden age porn. Long time readers will also know that Candy Stripers 2 was a pale shadow of the original featuring bad acting, bad story and Ron Jeremy. Candy Stripers 3 continued the decline.
Let's get the story out of the way first - a hospital director hires some strippers from a club to work as candy stripers during a nurses strike. Yep. Also in the hospital are Ron Jeremy as a mob boss hiding from the police and a couple of TV stars recovering after a roof fell on them during sex. Yep. Sex happens. In various combinations. The end.
This was a film where every expense had been spared. The sets looked exactly nothing like a hospital. Actually, they looked like a warehouse, some clapped out furniture and some sheets of plywood. Even the nurses uniforms didn't look convincing and really, how hard is it to go to the local sex shop and buy a sexy nurse costume? Even if it is made of latex? The closest we got to a hospital was a 2 second, grainy outside shot of a generic hospital that they cut into the film every few minutes to remind everyone where we were supposed to be. The acting was execrable. The sex was "meh". In all 13 scenes there isn't one that stood out, or come to think of it, one that I even remember 24 hours later. The one small mercy to this film was that it was short.
There was nothing at all to recommend this film. It was an even cheaper attempt to cash in on the original than Candy Stripers 2. I have no idea what possessed us to watch it but I really, really wish it hadn't.
Forget this, buy the original instead.
