Yours+Mine

AddThis Social Bookmark Button

Recently we purchased another special lube at the supermarket, the Yours+Mine Lubricant from K-Y. Like the Secret Garden Female Orgasm Enhancing Cream and the Play O Orgasmic Gel, Yours+Mine is designed to make the female bits all warm and cozy. However this one also comes with a tube of goo to put on his junk and make it all cold and tingly. Hence, Yours+Mine. Then you mix the two together and worlds collide, there are meteor showers and unicorns crap rainbows etc, etc, etc. Or so the packaging (and advertising) leads us to believe...

K-Y have done a better job than Durex did in that they are not excluding 50% of the population with this product by aiming it at both genders. It comes packed with a simple cardboard outer. Inside the packet are two tubes of goo; a purple one ("Mine"), intended for use on female bits and a blue one ("Yours") to go on male bits. I think we can safely assume that K-Y have aimed this at female purchasers. Anyway, the tubes look like test tubes and come in a plastic bracket to keep them together. At this point I should mention that you should keep the cardboard outer and this bracket to keep the tubes in because the tubes won't stand up on their own and if you lie them down the lids do leak a bit. Keeping them upright is a wise idea. The packaging is designed to keep them upright, so do your best to keep it intact.

Play O Orgasmic Gel

After the success I had with the "Secret Garden" Female Orgasm Enhancing Cream, I was curious to try a similar product I found in the local pharmacy. Play O Orgasmic Gel by Durex, part of their Play range, of which we reviewed the combined lube/massage lotion some time back. This is also available in supermarkets, and some adult shops carry it as well. According to the packaging it is suppose to provide "heating, cooling and tingling" sensations when applied to the appropriate area.

First up I have to criticise Durex for the packaging. The 15ml bottle comes packaged in a box 3 times its size, with infill cardboard to hold it in place and plastic wrapping all over the outside. There are little "feel-good" quotes on the packaging, I guess to make it less threatening. Anyway, I opened up the box and inside I found the bottle with a cap, and a separate pump with lid. There was plenty of room in the massive box to ship it with the pump attached so I don't get why they have packaged it that way. What I didn't find in the box were any instructions on how to use it, so I just went with what was printed on the outside of the box. Later on, while pulling the packaging apart to go into the recycling, I found an instruction booklet, which had been tucked inside the box in such a way that it could not have been found without completely dismantling the box and pulling out all the filler pieces. All in all, a poor concept there.

"Secret Garden" Female Orgasm Enhancing Cream

The next review is the "Secret Garden" Female Orgasm Enhancing Cream from Shunga Erotic Art in Canada, another surprise in the Prof's XXXmas box. We've not tried anything like this on me before (and after the disastrous experience with the Rocket Balm, not on Dave either), but in the interests of writing fresh reviews for you to enjoy, we'll try just about anything at least once.

First up the packaging on this product is simply beautiful. This isn't your standard shrink-wrapping, nor a piece of cardboard with a plastic blister glued on. As hippies, we aren't fans of over-packaging, but in this case I'll make an exception. The 30ml bottle of cream is contained in a box with a drawing of a geisha on the cover. Rather lovely and very tasteful. According to the blurb inside, "Shunga" is a work used for Japanese erotic paintings done between the 16th and 18th centuries. Appropriate then that their packaging has tasteful pictures on it. It is applied with the fingertips and massaged around the clitoris. Apparently it can affect some women immediately, but for others it can take up to three applications (being over three consecutive days) for the effects to be felt. It provides a thermal experience which can be warming or cooling or both, depending on the sensitivity level of the woman, and gives instructions on what to do if the sensation is too intense, or not strong enough.

Lady Chatterley's Lover

This week's review is another book review. Lady Chatterley's Lover, by DH Lawrence. A book which has, in its time, caused such scandal that it resulted in its publisher being taken to court for obscenity.

Lady Chatterley's Lover was written in the early 1920's and published in 1928. It is one of those books that everyone has heard of, but not that many have read. Having done so, I can now understand why.

Glampuss Bikini Line Colour

I have pink pubes!

Perhaps I should explain that statement further...

In our never-ending quest for review fodder, we have watched crap porn, tried toys, both good and bad, and now I have dyed my pubes. In searching for organic lubes (see the Pink Water review), I stumbled upon an organic pubic hair dye, Glampuss Bikini Line Colour, made by MiniKINI Ltd in the UK. My first reaction was shocked disbelief, but on re-reading it, I got interested.

Oh, and I should point out here, that you shouldn't be reading this site at work. It's never safe for work and this review is, in particular, not safe - there are photos after the jump!
