Us Reviewing Things

Another toy review this time. And this time it's from me for a change. I don't get to do many toy reviews because, lets face it, the selection of toys for guys is pretty small. We don't have the dizzying variety of shapes, sizes and functions available to our lady friends. This is another set of anal beads (yes, another set.. I've already covered the Vixen ones but really, other than sleeves and cock rings, anal toys is pretty much all there is left). This time it's the Fun Factory's Flexi Felix.

Mrs Dave has a couple of Fun Factory toys (LAYAspot, Smartballs) and has been really pleased with the quality and effectiveness of them, so when this turned up for me I was quite excited to have my very own Fun Factory toy to review. Like all Fun Factory toys the build quality is excellent. They are a bit odd looking. But odd in a good way. On first inspection they are your basic set of graduated, bright pink, silicone anal beads but the handle is a strange face design with two holes for eyes and a big smile and little antennae. I like the fact that it looks really happy to be going up my bum but it does look a little odd. The whole thing looks like a knobbly worm with a big smile. Cute but odd looking. On closer inspection (and use) though, these aren't your normal beads.

For a start, the beads aren't round but more an elongated oval shape. This makes them much easier to insert. These would have to be the easiest beads to get in I have ever used. Being oval, the sensation isn't as great as a round bead but it's not by that much. These would be ideal for a beginner. Even Mrs Dave, who isn't much of a fan of anal play, could get these in easily and comfortably. The only issue she found was that there is a tiny seam in them where the two halves of the mould joined. She has a very sensitive bum so she found the seam somewhat uncomfortable. I didn't even feel it.

Even the strange handle was a winner in actual use. You stick a finger through each of the face's eyes and it becomes the most comfortable, easy to use handle on any sex toy I have seen. It didn't slip out of Mrs Dave's hand while she was using it on me, and the amount of control you have over the toy with that handle is amazing. Particularly for withdrawal at the point of orgasm. The beads are a good size. They start off small and easy but the end ones are quite substantial. The silicone is exactly right - not too floppy but not too hard either. This is a really well designed toy. And it looks happy to be up my bum. What more could you want?

Overall, I think I prefer my Vixen beads as they give a more intense sensation, but as they are no longer available, this would have to be my top recommendation. Especially for beginners. Go out and grab yourself a set.
